Sanger is  located on Interstate 35 in northern Denton County, Texas, USA.  According to the US Census, Denton County is one of the fastest growing areas in Texas and the nation.  The community has a historic downtown and dozens of early 20th century homes.  The citizens of Sanger envision a community with a strong link to the past and growing to meet the needs of a diverse population.

Sanger is the  center point for a region with an estimated population of 36,000 based on 2000 Census and North Central Texas Council of Governments population estimates.  The greater Sanger region covering northwest Denton County and southwest Cooke County includes the communities of Sanger, Pilot Point, Valley View, Era and Krum.
